Knightsbridge Partnership is pleased to announce we have partnered with the West End Security Group (WESG), a collaborative organisation that supports central London’s business community in preparing for and responding to major incidents.
WESG brings together Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), landowners, estates, and sector representatives to enhance the area’s ability to resist, respond to, and recover from a range of threats: from terrorist attacks and public order events to pandemics and natural hazards.
By joining WESG, the Knightsbridge Partnership is taking a proactive step to improve coordination across key stakeholders, including Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Westminster City Council, Transport for London, and the local business community. This partnership will enable more effective intelligence sharing, joint planning, and access to expert-led exercises with emergency services.
“Knightsbridge is a globally recognised destination, and with that comes a responsibility to ensure our district is resilient, well-prepared, and connected. Joining WESG allows us to work more closely with our partners to protect and support our business community in a calm, coordinated and constructive way.”
— Rebecca Handley, Director of Place & Environment, Knightsbridge Partnership“We are very pleased to welcome the Knightsbridge Partnership business improvement district as the newest member of the West End Security Group (WESG). Their inclusion strengthens our collective ability to share intelligence, coordinate response, and deliver effective security and resilience initiatives across central London.
Knightsbridge is a vital and high-profile part of the capital, and their involvement ensures a more joined-up approach to tackling shared challenges ranging from protest activity and crime to emergency preparedness and public safety. We look forward to working closely with the team to support local businesses, enhance security capabilities, and contribute to a more resilient Westminster as a whole. — Michael Wood, West End Security Group.
Members will benefit from access to timely intelligence, training opportunities, and strategic forums where their concerns and priorities can be represented. We’ll be sharing more information soon about how businesses can get involved, including our first Business Resilience tabletop exercise, planned for early next year.
