That’s why the Knightsbridge Partnership invests heavily in the people, strategy and initiatives that protect, and reinforce, the sense of resilience that businesses, professionals and residents across the district rely on.

We provide what no business can achieve on its own: effective relationships with the Metropolitan Police, Safer Business Network, West End Security Group, Westminster City Council’s City Inspectors, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s Community Safety and Street Enforcement Teams and others, creating a coordinated, effective response to crime and disorder, and a hostile environment for offenders.

Five years of keeping Knightsbridge safe

Since businesses voted to establish the Knightsbridge Partnership in 2021, our Protect programme has delivered measurable results:

• 10% decrease in theft across Knightsbridge and the Brompton Road since the Partnership launched
• 19% decrease in mobile phone thefts since Metropolitan Police Operation Echosteep
• 90% prosecution rate for the district’s top 100 prolific offenders
• 1,500+ incidents reported and 1,002 offenders identified on the ShopSafe Alert
• £250K+ worth of stock and personal items recovered by the Street Team
• 26% increase in reporting of business crime since the launch of the Business Crime Reduction Partnership with Safer Business Network
• 54 million+ steps walked by the Street Team patrolling Knightsbridge and the Brompton Road

What we deliver

• The Street Team — security across the district seven days a week, providing incident response, property recovery, hot-spot patrolling, tactical security for major trading periods, and Prolific Offender case file building including victim impact statements
• The Business Crime Reduction Unit — funding the ShopSafe Alert Crime Intelligence platform monitoring over 1,000 offenders, a radio link scheme, and an instant communications platform for real-time incident updates
• Monthly Business Resilience Forums — keeping store teams informed about known offenders, criminal behaviour trends and the right reporting processes
• Joint operations with the Metropolitan Police, including Safer Business Action (SaBA) Days
• Security, counter-terrorism and resilience training for businesses, including the National Protective Security Authority Hostile Vehicle Mitigation Workshop and cross-agency Knightsbridge tabletop exercises

What a YES vote unlocks for 2026–2031

By voting YES, we will go further:

• Make our evening Street Team pilot permanent, with double the provision during core hours, and explore additional powers, including CSAS, to manage and deter illegal on-street activity
• Double our Business Crime Reduction Unit, retaining the expertise of the current Business Crime Reduction Officer
• Fund a new CCTV operator within both Councils’ Control Rooms to strengthen monitoring, increase crime detection and support successful prosecutions
• Launch regular Evening Economy Forums and give hospitality businesses access to training and resources for the responsible management of their venues
• Lead tabletop exercises and a coordinated, district-wide resilience strategy with West End Security Group, London Resilience and Local Authority Business Resilience units

What a NO vote would mean

If the Knightsbridge Partnership is not successful in the ballot, all current activities and services will cease from October 2026. There is no other organisation to deliver them on your behalf. That means:

• No Street Team. The service businesses and staff have come to rely on for day-to-day support will end, with the district likely to experience a rise in criminal behaviour, eroding the reductions achieved over the past five years.
• No offender tracking. The ShopSafe Alert scheme, giving businesses access to information on over 500 known prolific offenders — and our monthly Business Resilience Forums will end, and levels of criminal activity could rise as prolific offenders are no longer actively monitored.

This vital support will only continue if businesses vote YES to the Knightsbridge Partnership continuing for the next five years.
