Highlights from the second Knightsbridge Partnership Sustainability Forum

The Knightsbridge Partnership proudly convened its second quarterly Sustainability Forum at Canvas in Harvey Nichols. The Sustainability Forum brings together members’ sustainability champions to share best practice, hear from experts on a range of topics to help further businesses’ missions to be more sustainable, collaborate on area wide approaches to reducing carbon and celebrate successes together. It was an engaging forum with members representing the retail, office and hotel sectors around the table. We were also delighted to have the Climate Change Team from Kensington and Chelsea Council join us for the forum.

The forum included a Stakeholder Spotlight presentation by Tiva Montalbano from South Ken Zen +, which is the Discover South Ken’s collective response to the climate and biodiversity crisis. Spearheaded by the Discover South Ken team, our neighbouring cultural institutions are making collective advances to making the area more climate resilient and we welcomed the opportunity to learn more about their engagement process to date and local sustainability priorities for the future.

Last week also marked UK Recycling Week, and as part of our endeavours to support members to be greener and more sustainable, we invited James Mason, Sustainability and Portfolio Manager at Veolia, to the forum to brief members on the forthcoming Simpler Recycling Legislation coming into effect in March 2025. James highlighted how members can not only be compliant with this legislation, he also explained how members can increase their recycling rates and save money at the same time.

Knightsbridge has a major part to play in helping London move towards net zero and The Knightsbridge Partnership is pleased, along with convening the forum, to be able to support its members through its online Sustainability Hub. The hub offers members a wide range of support with their sustainability initiatives and challenges.

We look forward to bringing members together at future forums and we just want to thank all of the members who have joined us to date.
