Knightsbridge Partnership Sustainability Forum: Shaping a Greener Future

On Thursday 8th January, the Knightsbridge Partnership’s Sustainability Forum brought together local businesses, stakeholders, and sustainability leaders to shape the future of Knightsbridge. The co-design workshop focused on developing a bold new sustainability strategy and action plan for Knigthsbridge, identifying key priorities:

  • Reducing emissions form commercial buildings
  • Reducing material in products and packaging across all sectors to help businesses migrate to circular economy principles
  • Improving air quality and tackling climate change
  • Expanding accessible and public green infrastructure and tree canopys
  • Making Knightsbridge accessible, inclusive and welcoming
  • Promoting health and wellbeing

A highlight of the event was a guest presentation from ReLondon, delivered by Lamia Sbiti (Senior Manager, Business Transformation) and Sarah Beaton (Business Engagement Manager). ReLondon is helping organisations migrate to low carbon, circular economy ways of working.

ReLondion shared practical insights on how businesses can embrace the circular economy, minimising waste, reusing materials, and designing products for longevity. They showcased inspiring examples from across London, such as repair cafés, zero-waste catering, and innovative reuse initiatives, and encouraged Knightsbridge businesses to collaborate, pilot new ideas, and access support through ReLondon’s Circular Economy Matchmaker.

The Sustianbility Forum also highlighted the strong commitment across all sectors, property, retail, hospitality, and more, with many business members already setting ambitious targets for net zero carbon, urban greening, and ethical sourcing.

Why does this matter?
Sustainability is not just about compliance, it provides a strategic business advantage. Embedding sustainability attracts talent, builds brand trust, and ensures Knightsbridge remains a vibrant, resilient, and inclusive destination for all.

What’s next?
The Knightsbridge sustainability strategy and action plan is open for engagement, with a business and community drop-in event planned for 19th February. All are invited to join the conversation and help shape a sustainable future for Knightsbridge.
