TRI Design Festival officially launched earlier this week with a gala opening celebration hosted at The Aubrey at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, marking the start of the inaugural festival proudly managed and delivered by the Knightsbridge Partnership. The event brought together leaders from across the design industry, media, influencers and key stakeholders from the Knightsbridge business community.
The evening marked the beginning of several days of programming as TRI Design Festival hosts a series of exhibitions, talks, installations and events taking place across the district.
Guests at the opening heard from festival curator Bilen Zeremariam, Editor-in-Chief of OLISE Magazine, who spoke about the importance of creating a platform for design within the district and the opportunity for TRI Design Festival to continue growing as a creative event for Knightsbridge in the years ahead.
The event also highlighted the festival’s charity partner, Furnishing Futures, with founder Emily Wheeler sharing insights into the organisation’s work supporting women and families escaping domestic violence by helping them furnish safe new homes.
The gala welcomed representatives from across the design sector alongside festival participants, local businesses and members of the wider Knightsbridge community. With many events already sold out, the festival has launched with strong momentum and enthusiasm from across the industry.
TRI Design Festival continues throughout the week with a programme of events hosted by businesses and partners across the district.
